| The Centre for Molecular Pathology Applied to Clinics was founded in October 1963 thanks to a synergy between Professor Luigi Villa, the Institute of Semeiotic Medicine and the University of Milan. |

| The building that hosts it, situated into the IRCCS "Maggiore" Hospital, "Mangiagalli" and "Regina Elena" Foundation, in Milan, dates back to 1965. |

| The Luigi Villa Centre has been founded in September 24th, 1969 and ever since, it has cooperated with IRCCS "Maggiore" Hospital, "Mangiagalli" and "Regina Elena" Foundations and the University of Milan |
